1st Generation - Vision AI semiconductorProject name: ‘Genesis’ - Optimized for both CNN and Transformer-based models, 1st Products set a new benchmark for efficient on-device AI computing.
- Expanded global adoption through distributor agreements in the U.S., China, Taiwan, and Europe, and entered global e-commerce channels such as Digi-Key.
- Entered mass production on 5nm for camera modules, robots, drones, surveillance systems, and edge servers.
- Produced 5nm sample chips, verified by over 300 global companies.
- Validated by Hyundai Robotics Lab and POSCO DX, proving industry-leading power efficiency and performance-per-watt.
- Began IP development for DEEPX’s first on-device AI NPU.
2nd Generation - Generative AI SemiconductorProject name: ‘LAIN (Last Invention)’ - Designed to run large language models under 5W of power, 2nd generation products aim to redefine ultra-low-power, high-performance on-device generative AI computing.
- Initiated collaborations with global leaders including Baidu with PaddlePaddle, and Naver Cloud with HyperClova.
- Completed prototype development and signed a 2nm sample chip production contract.
- Initiated collaborations with global leaders including LG Uplus with iXi.
- Began IP development for DEEPX’s next-generation AI NPU.
- Succeeded the demonstration of the first draft of NPU for Gen AI

When I was young, I came across a line that has stayed with me: the root of human suffering lies in the lack of intelligence, knowledge, and wisdom. During my years building semiconductors at Apple, IBM, and Cisco, I witnessed the dawn of AI.
In 2015, I decided the time had finally come to directly confront this root cause—and that conviction led me to found DEEPX. At the time, AI was becoming increasingly powerful, but also increasingly confined. Its most advanced capabilities were locked away in massive data centers, consuming the electricity of entire nations and serving only a privileged few. Human dignity stems from intelligence. But when access to AI depends on wealth, geography, or connectivity, cognitive enhancement becomes a privilege rather than a right.
DEEPX was founded with a different belief—that intelligence should not remain centralized, but should exist everywhere. Through revolutionary on-device AI semiconductors, we are making intelligence mass-producible, embedding AI directly into devices so it can be present anywhere, anytime.
